Our first ever festival comes to a close and it’s been a huge success. Over 30 acts and 100 performers passed through our theatre and audience feedback was sky high.
There was laughter, dancing, singing and even a few tears. We had comedians, DJs, films, plays, singers, live bands, children shows, orchestras, musicians and poets. It was a wonderful collection of local talent and visitors from further afield.
It is with not without heavy hearts that we draw the curtains on the festival and put away our bunting and face glitter until next year. We can’t wait to start again although it will be nice to catch up on some sleep first.
Thank you to all who came and participated and also to those who came and watched shows and supported our festival. It was fantastic to see so many local Catford faces enjoying the performances and having fun at the Broadway Theatre. We’d also like to say a big thank you to those behind the scenes at the theatre both in management and the technical team, friends of the theatre, and those within Lewisham Council whom without their help this festival never could have happened.
Right that’s it. We’re drying our eyes now. Thank you and see you next year.
Team Broadway x 😍
